Alberto & Kimberly Rivera
Alberto and Kimberly Rivera met in 1996 at a church in
Nashville, Tennessee, where they were attending nightly
teachings on Davidic worship.
They had both recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee.
Alberto Rivera came from Santiago, Chile, and Kimberly
had moved from Cookeville, Tennessee. As they began a
friendship, they saw that the Lord had given them the
same heart of passion for worship and a common vision
for the Kingdom of God.
When
they first began to minister together, they worshipped
with songs that had been previously written. In order
to prepare for a time of ministry in worship, they would
simply rehearse together. However, the deeper they went
in their pursuit of the Lord, they sensed Him calling
them to take the risk of going beyond worshipping with
familiar songs to a new and unfamiliar journey pursuing
His presence through fresh, spontaneous songs. Then, they
could no longer prepare for times of ministry by rehearsing
together. Instead, they had to begin to prepare their
hearts before a meeting by worshipping and praying together.
The more time they spent in worship and prayer, the more
apparent it became to both of them that the Lord was calling
them to more than just a friendship. As a result, they
were married in August of 1997.
As
Alberto & Kimberly Rivera continued to minister, the
Lord began to show them His passion for intimacy with
His Bride, and they began to experience a sense of the
Father's intense longing for His children to draw near
to His heart. Alberto and Kimberly treasure the songs
that the Lord has given them, as they came forth in live
settings out of their journey of pursuing the presence
of the Lord with people of the same desire to know Him
more deeply.
Alberto
and Kimberly currently reside in Thompsons Station, Tennessee.
They are thankful that the Lord placed them in a church
family, where they feel truly covered, supported and encouraged
to fulfill their destiny in the Kingdom of God. They serve
there with various worship teams as well as leading times
of worship and intercession. They also do some traveling
in which they demonstrate what the Lord is teaching them
concerning worship. As time has progressed, they have
not only been used in corporate worship, but the Lord
has expanded them to sense His heart through spontaneous
songs sung over specific individuals.
Alberto
& Kimberly Rivera have a strong desire to see the
Body of Christ experience a greater level of Spirit-led
worship and to see the heart of David arise in this hour
in multitudes of singers and musicians in every nation.
They believe that this generation is destined to tap into
the fresh sounds of Heaven and release them here on earth.
They believe that when those sounds are experienced, we
will see the manifest presence of the Lord released in
greater power and miraculous demonstration.
Alberto
& Kimberly Rivera believe that a new kind of music
is coming--music of which the sole purpose is to be a
conduit for God's presence. In this day and age, the main
emphasis in the music industry is on the artist, the style,
the craftsmanship of the songs, the musicians or the quality
of the recordings. While these things are important from
an earthly vantage point, they are not really all that
important from an eternal perspective.
Alberto
and Kimberly long to release music that will point to
Jesus and not merely to the artists or to the music itself.
They believe that "presence music" will be the
only thing that will satisfy the hunger and desperation
that is intensifying in the hearts of mankind for the
presence of the Lord, and will be instrumental in ushering
in a revival that will sweep across the nations.
