Freedom
& Creativity
The
Lord has set no limitations on us pertaining to those
things done in cooperation with His Holy Spirit. All
creativity that comes out of our communion with God
is completely legal and we can go ahead and dream
big! Pew sitting and those who have confined themselves
to doing nothing in the kingdom have become this way
because of the teaching that God is like a "hard
man".
Matthew
25:24
Then he which had received the one talent came and
said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man,
reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where
thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went
and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast
that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto
him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest
that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I
have not strawed: 28 Take therefore the talent from
him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and
he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not
shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And
cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Please!
No Cookie-Cutter
It is because of fear and a distorted view of God
that people think the Lord will throw hammer upon
the head if things are not done perfect. I have news
for you. It won't be perfect. People have relegated
themselves to doing nothing and have buried what God
has given them. The creative is in the very nature
of God and is in the very fabric of our being as well.
If this is shut down your life will be shut down.
We were born to be creative and to do things differently
than each other.
Everything the religious spirit represents is sterile.
There is no life in it. That's why you can go to certain
congregations and everyone looks the same, dresses
the same and cuts their hair the same. There is no
freedom for individuality. Anything that really tests
the border is thrown out! This is the devil's cookie-cutter.
Have you been subject to this religious cookie-cutter?
For
ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to
fear; but ye have
received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba,
Father.
(Romans 8:15)
We need to the Lord to bring us out and keep us out
of the box and bring us into His place of no limitations
where creativity can be released. In the Kingdom of
God there is great room and freedom in the Holy Spirit.
The very first thing God did was create.
In
the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
(Genesis 1:1)
Since
we are made in His very same likeness creativity is
at the core of who we are as well. The Lord wants
that creative nature within us released in broader
and more expansive ways.
All creation declares the glory of God. Let your heart
be to glorify God in your creativity then let it loose
for His glory! But don't ever succumb to the poverty
stricken religious mindset that God is like "a
hard man" so you bury your talent (the things
that God has freely put in your hands to do). Jesus
came to unravel that mystery through all of his mercy,
grace and "goodness" that He revealed through
His acts of power and love.
Or
despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance
and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of
God leadeth thee to repentance? (Romans 2:4)
Stand
fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath
made us free, and be not entangled again with the
yoke of bondage.
(Galatians 5:1)
Wherever
there is religiosity there will be this attempt to
shut down what God has put in you. We must make the
decision to not be entangled with any of the traps
of religion. Read the entirety of the parable of the
talents. We will find that the Lord is pleased with
taking what we have and increasing it - seeing it
multiplied. But if we never do anything with it -
even what we have will be taken away. Let the creativity
flow! Be free! God is good! Reflect that goodness
in all that you do, in all that you create.
The
Spirit Is Always Creative
The Holy Spirit is creative by nature.
He always desires to create. Whether it is a miracle
or healing in someone's life, a song or a creative
idea, He is looking for an outlet. Yield to Him in
communion and intimacy today and allow him to flow
through you to birth and create something new within
and through you. . .
We can do nothing apart from Him, but in Him and
through Him
we can do all things!
There
is No Place Like His Place!
