Good is Prepared!
I
was cooking the other night, preparing a meal. After having
fixed it I sat down to eat. Oh! It was sooo good! Well,
typically I just won’t spend much time in the preparation
of my food just because I want to use the time for other
things. Then I got the revelation! The reason the food
was so good is that I took more time preparing it. Oh!
That revelation is as good as the food was! So anything
good takes time. Anything good costs something. The Psalmist
Prophet King David said he would not offer to the Lord
anything that did not cost him something. There is a price
in our preparation for what God calls us to. But once
we have been prepared the Lord says, “Oh! That tastes
so gooooooood!” I love that! This is a year of preparation
for many of us. The Lord wants to encourage us by letting
us know that He is looking forward to the end result of
that preparation. Just as we can taste and see that the
Lord is good, so the Lord and others will taste and see
that the Lord is good in us. God really does know how
to cook!
