EXTRA! EXTRA!
Former
Evangelical missionary gets hit by the fire of the Holy Spirit
and hears "Come up Here”
as she is transported to heaven
and given gift of healing...
Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name
they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything
deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands
on the sick, and they will recover."
THE FIRST TIME we were missionaries in Turkey a white
dove came and sat on our apartment windowsill and stayed through
the night. Outside of this one experience we never encountered
a dove again during our first time in Turkey. We were desperate
to see God move in a tangible way. We were very new to the
things of the Spirit and had experienced a tremendous amount
of loss and had much pain in our lives. But the Lord sent
us comfort in the form of a dove that night to remind us that
He was with us and that he would see us through this transitional
time.
WE SAW SO VERY LITTLE FRUIT and were crying
out to God to show us a better way. I heard the Lord in a
still small voice say, “As the people of Turkey experience
my healing power they will also come to know Me as their Lord.”
With a new approach we set out to pray for the sick as the
Lord had said. But nothing happened when we prayed... At this
point we left the mission field to seek out a new experience
with God. During this time the Lord showed us that we needed
to go through a cleansing and healing process. After several
years of this process I had the following vision…
REBECCA'S VISION
ONE YEAR LATER in a meeting the fire of God hit me
and I was taken up into a vision. For an hour I rolled on
the floor in flames so hot I thought I would die. As the intensity
of the flames diminished I felt the limbs of a baby moving
within my body.... then I heard a voice say... "Come
up here". My eyes were closed and I was still lying on
the floor but somehow I looked up and saw heaven and two angels
waiting to escort me there. I simply replied "Ok"
and off we went at lightning speed through the clouds to a
place that was very peaceful but full of activity with angels
busy coming and going. The angel said, "Do you want to
see more?” "Yes", was all I said and these
angels took me to some steps that lead to a plateau on top
of a cloud. I was a little apprehensive as I neared the top
of the steps. There was a power in the atmosphere and for
a little while all I could see was blinding white light. I
peered out from behind the angels wings that were on either
side of me and I saw a massive angel with huge gold wings.
It seemed as if he was waiting to be sent. I heard the Lord
say," you can call on him. He will come when you ask
for him." I wanted to stay but I heard "do you want
to see more?" "Yes," I said.
Then the angels and I flew
to the tree of life. It was normal trees color but
brighter and somehow Technicolor yet transparent and wet all
at the same time. It was teeming with energy and exploding
with life. Its limbs went as far and high, higher than I could
see. It looked like a green endless jungle that was constantly
growing new shoots and branches. When I reached to touch the
trunk of the tree my hand went right into the tree. I could
see my hand through the wet transparent tree trunk. I walked
around the tree and over to the other side of the tree. I
saw some escalator steps. We then ascended up the escalator.
The higher we went the more the atmosphere changed with intensity,
power and light. I felt a growing anticipation in my spirit.
A holy fear overwhelmed me as we reached the top. I was so
afraid that I hid on the edge of the cloud behind the angel’s
wings for what seemed to be a long time.
Release of Power & Revelation
Finally, I heard the Voice of the Lord say ,"do you want
to stand and receive?" I thought to myself, “I’m
not worthy”. I couldn't even speak. I stood in spite
of my feelings. The angel’s wings parted slowly to reveal
such intensity that I could barley move. His power was so
intense that I thought I might die. I could see only a strong
glowing white light. But as my eyes adjusted I saw the Lord
seated and dressed in a pure white robe. His head and face
was a radiant and intense with white light. He reached His
hands out towards me and I knew He wanted me to extend my
hands out towards Him. As I reached out a stream of powerful
green electricity and white lights streamed out from His hands
into mine for some time.
The angels then put me on a cloud. Then they took me down
through the heavens, then down further toward hell. A terrible
smell and darkness grew as we drew to the destination. It
was so dark and evil. I could see children in the clutches
of women with religious head coverings. As the women looked
up toward me I could see yellow and red beady eyes filled
with hate. They hissed and clawed toward us as we passed by
just out of their reach. The Voice of the Lord said “They
take their children with them.” I started to cry because
of the extreme darkness of what I had seen so I asked to leave.
Grass Roots Revival
The two angels took me back up where I could rest for a while
on some clouds. The angels then took me back to earth and
laid me in a field of flowers. I cried because I didn't want
to leave and I begged to go back to heaven. I knew God wanted
me here to avert those headed toward that darkness. I felt
so lonely and longed for heaven. As I cried I heard a voice
say, “You are not alone. You are a daughter of the King.”
Then I was absorbed into the earth and I became grass. Others
were being changed into grass around me. I asked the Lord
why I had turned into grass. He responded saying, “You
are part of the grass roots revival”. All of the grass
was the same height. Not one blade of grass was different
or taller than the other. Then we all changed in an instant
into stones and the Lord said, “You are cornerstones.
The ones that the builders rejected that He will use to build
his kingdom.” Then I smelled the fragrance of fresh
air and then flowers. I sneezed and then He called me "healing
fire” This was the end of the vision.
OUR PASSION
The longing in ours hearts is that the nations know the King
and His love. We have a growing anticipation in our spirit
that the Lord wants to shine His light in Turkey NOW. Again
a bird has returned to our windowsill. This time it is a Robin.
The bird watches our every move with a fixed gaze and unlike
most birds he lets us draw near. Robins return to the same
place year after year to lay their eggs. This robin made a
nest last spring in our windowsill and has returned with family
making our home their own. We see this as a picture of the
Lord having prepared a place for us back in Turkey. Just
as the robin flys with the color of red on it's chest and
lays green and blue eggs so we will go with the fire of the
Holy Spirit to give birth to healing life and revival in that
land. He has spoken to us and asked us to pour
out waters of Life on this dry and weary land. We have had
open visions and visitations from the Lord inviting us to
return to worship and pray in this nation. He wants us to
dance and worship Him with abandon in many of the sites of
the seven churches of Revelation located in Turkey.
Wherever we walk and intercede He has promised
that He will pour out His judgment and His grace. He asked
us to pour out the oil of intercession in worship to prepare
the Turkish Bride of Christ for the return of Her King. As
the Spirit leads us we will be available and willing to minister
and pray with those the Lord asks us to. The Lord has shown
us that we need to travel to Turkey for two weeks departing
on May 22nd. . The date is set and fast approaching. We trust
the Lord to provide whatever is necessary for this trip.
