Hebrews
4:15-16
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest
who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the
Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot
sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all
points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16Let
us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help
in time of need. |
Father's
Love
When we have are having a difficult
time, are in need or are found wanting in some area
of life we should always approach the Throne of Grace.
The Father has no desire to condemn us or make us
feel abandoned. He has adopted us into His family
and only desires us to know His love and grow as His
children. We cannot be hard on ourselves when we fail.
He is not hard on us. He is gentle with us. How we
treat ourselves is how we will treat others. If we
are hard on ourselves we will be hard on others. Just
as we would extend grace and mercy to our own children
we must extend the same measure to ourselves. This
can be difficult to do. We become so aware of our
shortcomings and weaknesses. Sometimes they can seem
so big. But just like everything with God, it is a
very small matter for Him to take care of. These are
the very places He longs to come and fill. All it
requires is simple yeildedness and a heart that can
receive His love and sufficiency in simple faith.
He desires to restore us with His love so that He
can bring us back to a place where He can fill us
and cause His love to flow through us.
His
Faithfulness
Understand that when we come to the
Lord with a transparent heart desiring to know and
follow His will, He is faithful to reveal what is
needed to bring us into a place of peace and rest
in our spirit. There is no one as good as our God.
There is no one as patient, kind, gracious and loving
as Him. He is the impossible dream come true! He has
made every provision for us to come boldly before
His throne of grace. Why is it a “throne of
grace”? It is because we need help. Thank the
Lord it is not a throne of judgment. There will be
a Day for that. But the throne of grace is where we
live right now. This is where He meets us. This is
the glory of His cross. This is why He paid the price.
He desired to give us access to His Most Holy Place
so we could come to Him for help in time of need.
We
have need of Him. He is a merciful God, full of compassion.
He really cares about us. He really desires to touch
us in the deepest place of our hearts. He is there
to lift us up and bring us close in His arms. There
is no shifting with Him. He is the same yesterday,
today and forever. On the cross He stretched His arms
open wide to show how much He really loves us. There
is no limitation to the love He will show to us. He
has no stopping point. The Lord never gives up on
us. He is always knocking, always waiting, always
there looking for an opportunity to reveal Himself
in a fresh way to us.
The Alpha & Omega
God knows the number of our days.
He knows the beginning from the end. I had a dream
recently where I was looking at a bridge that crossed
over a large river of water. As I began to walk across
the bridge the Lord was standing there. When I got
to the other side of the bridge I was amazed to see
that He was standing on that side as well. He was
waiting for me. As I saw this scene I immediately
understood that He was the Beginning and the End,
the Author and the Finisher of our faith and nothing
takes Him by surprize. He knows our Beginning and
our End. We are amazed because of all the things we
go through, the difficulties, hardships, challenges
and shortcomings. It is beyond our comprehension that
He can know all these things and yet create a perfect
tapestry out of our lives as we continually turn to
Him as our source and help. He is our Restorer. He
makes the wrong right and will work our weakness into
His glory. It is always encouraging to know that
He never used a perfect person. We see this mercy
aspect of God that covers us in our weakness. Most
all of the “bible saints” struggled, blew
it and were restored because they had perfect hearts
toward Him. They knew where to turn. In our knowings,
the most profound and essential knowing is to know
Him.
This
was quite an amazing revelation experience because
just recently I wrote a song called “Eternal
One”. I later discovered the exact meaning of
“Alpha and Omega” is “The Eternal
One”. An wonderful thing to note in the revelation
of who God is as the Eternal One is that He
first of all “IS”.
REVELATION
1:8
I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the ending, saith the Lord, which IS,
and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
So
the Lord desires us to know firstly that HE IS. We
need to know that God is in the NOW. This is where
He works. Although He’s sees the beginning and
the end simultaneously He communicates to us NOW.
It is in the present-tense that God is desiring to
reveal Himself to us. Here are the words to the song.
I will eventually get it up on MP3 Download. For now,
