Think of the Possibilites!
There are so many possibilities in the Kingdom of God!
It is limitless. God is not hemmed in by any boundaries
whatsoever. The only boundaries that could even
exist are in our own minds. It is time to remove
the “limited thinking” and think of the
possibilities! If you ever catch yourself thinking
of your impossible circumstances, that is the time to
break out of the box and get a fresh outlook from God’s
heavenly perspective. Jesus said and still says
“All things are possible to him who believes”.
Confess that you are a “believer” today.
If you don’t feel like a believer it is ok.
Because faith has nothing to do with your feelings
it has everything to do with God and what He has already
promised. Through His precious promises we are
partakers in the divine nature. One way to look
at this is that when we experience the invasion of God
into our earthly challenges and difficulties we actually
take on that much more of the character and person of
Jesus, His divine nature. When we choose to believe
the truth of what God has promised it triggers a faith
reaction in our inner man (the divine nature within
us).
The Pharisees told Jesus that He was demon-possessed
and they tried to get Him to agree with Him! Of
course, Jesus replied that if he were to agree He would
be a liar like them. In the same way, the devil
many times tries to get us to agree with His lies that
are contrary to the words of God, His promises.
So
today tell the devil that he is a liar and choose to
believe the promises of God! Again, it is important
to remember that our faith has nothing to do with our
feelings and external circumstances. It is completely
about believing the promises of God. If we make
His words out meditation we have a sure victory ahead!
The cares of this world and high valuing of earthy things
chokes out the word . . .
Matt
13:22-23
Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who
hears the word, and the cares of this world and the
deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes
unfruitful. 23 But he who received seed on the good
ground is he who hears the word and understands it,
who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold,
some sixty, some thirty."
Take
an inventory of what you are meditating on throughout
your days. Is it the news? Is it opinions? What
is drawing your attention? If any of these things
are squeezing out the word of God, make every effort
to put the meditations that God values first place in
your heart. Don’t allow yourself to be distracted
from the riches of God’s Kingdom. When we
do this, we will see the possibilities become reality!
In Psalm 1 we have a foundational promise for life.
It is connected to our devotion and meditation:
Psalm
1:1-3
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the
ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat
of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in
His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf
also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
