First
of the Many Faces of Jesus Painting Series
Many years ago, Pamela A. LaVoy-Baker began to question God about
the pictures she had seen of Jesus. As a devout Christian, she spent
a great deal of time reading scripture and in prayer. During her times
of prayer and worship, Pamela saw visions of paintings of Jesus. According
to her, "There were no power tools back then, which means a carpenter
would have been a very strong man." Pamela also believes Jesus
is the mixture of all races. And in 1982, Pamela A. Lavoy-Baker painted
her first vision of Jesus. It wasn't until 16 years later that she
painted the second.
Currently
in the midst of a prophetic art out pouring, Pamela is fulfilling
the unique calling on her life—to paint the Many Faces of
Jesus. Her visions of the paintings are so vivid that she has learned
most of her multimedia techniques during her times of prayer. Incorporating
braided leather, wooden posts, thorns, gold leaf and human hair
is just the beginning of what makes her style breath taking to behold.
Fortunately, she has plans for several more works in development
and knows this is just the beginning.
