He Walked on Water
By Pam LeVoy Baker
This is the first portrait of Jesus painted
by Pam LaVoy Baker. It was given in a vision, after asking
the Lord in prayer a question: “Why do so many well
painted classical portraits of Jesus lack the look of power
and authority as described in the Word?” The answer
from the Lord given was, “Many artists chose models
of men, according to their interpretation, and so they were
portraits of mere men.”
What followed was instruction to paint a
portrait using no model at all, only prayer. A total vision
of how The Face would look was not given at this time. Pam
had never yet worked without a model and thus painted by faith.
Not knowing until the end, the result was a portrait of Jesus,
depicting the scene of Christ sitting on the edge of the boat
after having walked on the water with flames of the Holy Spirit
in His eyes and His Person radiating the Divine Light of His
Presence.
After this portrait was completed, many
people who have viewed the painting have testified that they
also have experienced similar visions of the Same Christ,
as depicted on the canvas. The Eyes of Christ as seen on this
portrait will follow the viewer from various angles or distances
from which viewed.
For example, this painting was on display
at Eagle’s Wings Praise and Worship Center in a room
where approximately 40 homeless people were being fed and
housed. One homeless man, after spending the night in the
same room with the portrait, asked this question: “
Where did you get that painting, and how did you ever get
The Eyes to move around the room like that? He watches me
wherever I go!” Afterward, this same man prayed and
received Christ as his Personal Savior.
